Celebrating our students' success

Our wonderful hard working jazz students sat their New Zealand Association of Modern Dance jazz grade exams Wed August 9 with Miss Warren as their examiner. A great day where our students enjoyed showing Miss Warren all their hard work in class over the year - along with their love of dancing shining thru.

Results were fantastic with students achieving Distinctions - High Honours - and Honours. All our lovely students achieved their personal bests and are now eagerly awaiting their next jazz lesson where they go up to a new grade and start learning new jazz work.

Special congratulations to Amelie who passed her Advanced 2 Jazz with Distinction and was awarded a NZAMD nomination to attend the scholarships in Wellington later on in the year. We are very proud to have Amelie represent our studio at Scholarships.

Passing on Miss Warren's final comments at the end of the day - 'I've had a lovely day - all your students came in smiling at the start of the exam which was lovely to see. I've really enjoyed watching them dance'.

ALSO A VERY SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of our fabulous senior student Amelie who was awarded a PACANZ nomination for Musical Theatre at Manawatu Performing Arts competition held August 12 in Palmerston North. Amelie is now very excited to be attending the Nationals over Labour Weekend - once again representing our dance studio and her music teacher Philippa Drinkwater.
